Dublin

I spent five days in Scotland and then went on to Ireland. Welcome to my Dublin Travel Diary. By the time I got to Dublin, I was exhausted from all the travelling and I didn’t really feel like doing much. I did, however, have a list of a couple of things that I wanted to see. Oscar Wilde’s house, the cathedral where Jonathan Swift used to be the dean and the James Joyce statue in the town centre.

On my first day in Dublin, I decided to go on a tour of the city, just to learn some more about it. We saw most of the big, important buildings in the city and went to Trinity College. What I really wanted to see, was the library there, but it was just way too busy. The tour took about two hours and this is where I met another girl from the Netherlands. After the tour, we decided to go out for lunch together in an Irish pub. After lunch, I went to see all the literary things and then I went back to the hostel where I spent of the day, watching Jessica Jones and sleeping.

I didn’t really care much for Dublin and would not go there again. I am, however, planning to go to Northern Ireland sometime in the upcoming year. No idea when that is going to happen, though…
